Advice

Vilnius

Vilnius, the capital and largest city of Lithuania, is the most populous city in the Baltic states, with an estimated population of about 618,000 as of January 2026 and approximately 748,000 in the greater urban area. The city is renowned for its distinctive Vilnian Baroque architecture, rich cultural heritage and growing economic development.

Weather

Vilnius experiences cool autumn weather in October as temperatures begin to drop across the region. The month is generally characterized by chilly and occasionally breezy conditions. A typical October day sees an average high of around 10 °C (51 °F) and an average low of about 3 °C (37 °F), making it feel cold, particularly in the evenings. Conference attendees are therefore encouraged to bring warm layers to stay comfortable.
